We started out over 120 years ago selling everything from bycyles to parafin and hardware, our shop E Watson & Sons has been in Newbiggin by the sea and is always a feature of the town. Instore we sell TV's washing machines and white goods, as well as our funky furniture and modern lighting we also sell a range of home accessories to compliment these modern designs. We are really big on Recycling,we do it the hard way! most of our cardboard is stored and shipped weekly by us to a cardboard recycling plant, all of our polystyrene is bagged up and sent to a specialist recycling depot. We do try and re-use packaging to send out products if we feel they need a little extra love for the trip to your home, our chief wrapper Callum can often be found rummaging around like a little ferret for bits of cardboard and "poly" to ensure your chair arrives the way it should.

Naomi.I always find it a strange having to write about one self given that when you do you start to ask questions like ‘am i tho?’ I would like to think i am the postive, forward thinking goal setting individual who has the dream job of shopping for a living(apart from working with my brother ha) which i do think is true actually well as long as i have done a spinning class the night or morning before work then defo this is who i am, defo. Modern furniture enables us to buy funky furniture items for your home and pass the good fortune of an excellent price onto yourselves. We should be allowed to have this choice without having to pay a premium because its’different or individual’ we are all different and individual so why not be able to shop like we are. single pieces making a room stylish and as elegant as you are my special customer. Big Al the punters pal is kinda what i liken to a french chef, creative, moody without caffeine and very passionate about what he does. he is at the hub of the nervous system. The heart of the operation, the fizz in the cola and the mint in the gum. i know, i will stop the cliches. When he's not giving customers awesome deals he's in training for Triathlete events. Could i work with a more dynamically driven human being who spends the majority of the time giving the customer what they want-no what our customer needs-stylish items at a real price? prob not if the truth be told.x

Callum is our chief wrapper, he is the man dedicated to overseeing the meticulous wrapping function of all our parcels, this is the man who has posted his own possesions to see how well they stack up against the journey it takes to get to our stylish customer. God knows he would post himself if he could. he doesnt want the glitz and glamour of sales oh no he is like a doozer from fraggle rock beavering away in the background completing the last essential bit of jigsaw before our beloved item leaves us forever for pastures new. He has over the years seen many many changes in the modern world of internet buying and with great power comes great responsibilty to wrap like he has never wrapped before.he regularly receives his own parcels from various internet shops and more often than not if it isn't up to Callums standard he will do a knowing look of disgust at his item and whisper under his breath ‘could do better’.
