Delivery

Delivery is free at Modern furniture and lighting to UK mainland so there's nothing nasty put on at the checkout. Our mission is to get you your item to you in the fastest and safest time so all in stock items are usually shipped within 2 working days, some do take slightly longer if they have special delivery requirements but if you wish to check any lead times please give us a call. Payment is always taken at time of ordering whether an item is in stock or not so give us a call if your in a hurry. Items are showing out of stock still may be available within a few days for delivery we just need to double check with our suppliers. Items that don't show delivery info are special,order direct from the manufacturer so can take up to 8 weeks. Most of our items are inspected before they are shipped and we also re package nearly every item to ensure it arrives to you the way it was intended. We do offer AM delivery and Sat AM delivery on selected items, check out our additional services below

Alternate delivery address

We can only deliver to a different address if you pay by Paypal and the delivery address is confirmed or if you pay by bank transfer.

Depending on which item you purchase our courier sends an email on the morning of delivery to give a 2 hour time slot of when the driver will be in the area. Its only available for next day courier as we use a different courier for more fragile pieces but the item page usually says if its available on the product.

please take note of the following points so there is no confusion

If the time is not convenient you can reply to change the day but not the time

Its not available in all areas, they can't give a time for more remote areas of the country.

International delivery*

We can ship mosaic fruit and mosaic balls using international postal service, the price of £20.50 is for up to 3 pieces, if you require more please contact us for a quote. All international orders must be paid using a Paypal confirmed address, this is the only payment we will accept for international. The price is only for mosaic fruit and balls, we currently do not ship any furniture abroad.

Returns

We want you to be happy with your purchase and if for any reason you arn't you can return the item within 7 days. Please notify us so we can arrange collection of your item, all flatpack furniture must be returned to its original form and all acessories must be enclosed in the box. We will advise before hand of the return carriage cost but this is usually 10% of the sale price but we will confirm when you make contact with us. We can't accept any returns without prior notification, all items must be returned in original packaging and if you do wish to return the item yourself please do note its your item until it reaches us here so if it is damaged you will need to claim for this. If you have decided to cancel your order or wish to return your products to Modern furniture and lighting.co.uk we will refund your credit card within 30 days of cancellation. This section has been introduced to incorporate the new European Directive on distance selling which is incorporated into UK law by The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
